The Make-A-Stand/Take-A-Stand (MAS/TAS) program is a call to action for young people to stand up for adults living with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia. Young people are putting up stands filled with valuable information and baked goods and raising awareness and funds to connect more Sweet Readers to Adults living with Alzheimer’s!
Make-A-Stand/Take-A-Stand started as an initiative of our Leadership Council for Global Youth Service Day (GYSD), the largest youth service initiative in the world, in 2015.
This year, MAS/TAS is running from April 26 – May 27. During that time you can Stand Up! as many times as you like and take the MAS/TAS Challenge to raise awareness and funds for isolated adults in need.
We will be honoring stands with the most effective creativity, the most awareness raised and the best fundraisers both on our web site and at our 5th Annual Insights & Appreciation Gathering on June 3.
If you Make-a-Stand/Take-A-Stand, please send us a photo of your stand at work! We are excited to build a special gallery on our web site to celebrate everyone!
