Fun Facts
Since 2011 we have been serving diverse populations across three generations.
Our middle school Sweet Readers come from independent schools, public schools, charter schools, schools for students with learning differences, urban schools, suburban schools, single sex schools and co-educational schools; and we frequently combine students from diverse backgrounds in our bridged school programs and after-school programs.
Our facilitators come from a wide range of backgrounds as well, most of whom are educators of middle school students, art educators, artists and/or retired educators.
Our adult participants come from nursing homes, assisted living centers, memory care centers and from home with their care partners who also come from a wide range of backgrounds.
With pleasure, we bring these constituencies and their families into our programs and communities; uniting around one common interest: the transformative engagement between middle school students and adults with Alzheimer’s or some form of dementia.
