Privacy and Confidential Information
Sweet Readers’ policy is to protect the confidentiality of the individually identifiable information that you provide, and we limit access to that information only to those with a need to know. If you choose to sign-up for our newsletter, you will be asked to provide your full name, e-mail address, city, state, ZIP code, and specific interest in Sweet Readers. If you choose to complete certain forms to enter the password-protected portion of the Sweet Readers Web Site (the “Site”), you will be asked to provide the following information about yourself: full name, street address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, e-mail address, as well as your parent/guardian’s full name, telephone number, and e-mail address. Additionally, you will be asked to answer certain questions regarding your interests and school so that Sweet Readers may connect you with the appropriate Sweet Readers program. If you choose to make a donation or purchase from the Site, certain identifying information may be required to complete the transaction. If payment is through PayPal®, Sweet Readers will not see your credit card number or banking information.
Sweet Readers may preserve all information you provide. Sweet Readers may also disclose information you provide if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (a) complete your transaction; (b) comply with legal process; (c) enforce this Agreement; (d) respond to claims that any materials on this Site violate your rights or the rights of third parties; (e) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Sweet Readers, its users and/or the public; or (f) in the event that all or substantially all of Sweet Readers’ assets are acquired by a third party.
Sweet Readers’ policy is to prohibit the unlawful disclosure of your personal information. Sweet Readers will not release your name or otherwise publicize the fact that you purchased goods or unless: (a) you grant Sweet Readers permission to do so; or (b) Sweet Readers is requested or required to do so by law. Computer Information
Sweet Readers logs your current Internet address (this is usually a temporary address assigned by your Internet service provider when you log in), the type of operating system you are using, and the type of browser software used. In addition, Sweet Readers may keep track of what portions of this Site you are visiting. Sweet Readers aggregates this information to help Sweet Readers improve or create a better experience for users of the Site. For example: Sweet Readers may upgrade those parts of the Site that are heavily visited.
Our website automatically records website usage information that we analyze statistically to track operational problems, to prevent fraud and to improve the effectiveness, security and integrity of the site. We do not use this information to track or record information about individuals. We will disclose this information to third parties only in aggregate form or as may be required by law. Sweet Readers may collect and aggregate data about your usage of the Site, and Sweet Readers shall be the sole owner of such information.

The preceding paragraphs describe the categories of personally identifiable information that Sweet Readers collects in this Site.
If you are a visitor to this Site who does not wish to subscribe to Sweet Readers’ newsletter and updates or to become a registered user, given the limited information collected and the form in which Sweet Readers receives it, Sweet Readers does not offer a process for review and changes to personal information.
If you subscribe to the Sweet Readers mailing list (for our newsletter and updates), Sweet Readers will need your name, your e-mail address, your ZIP code, and your specific interest in Sweet Readers. If you want to change your information, you will need to email us at newsletter@sweetreaders.org to change information, including both the name, email, ZIP code information you previously provided, as well as any changes.

Encryption
Sweet Readers uses no encryption (data scrambling) on certain portions of the Site, but uses encryption on portions where you are transmitting financial information, such as credit card information. This blog is subject to our Terms and Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy, but blogs are special, so some special additional rules apply. We can change this policy at any time, so check back here often.

Passwords may not be shared or used by more than one individual. It is each individual user’s responsibility to remember and protect such password and not to disclose it to any other person. Submissions and Posts
You agree that you will not post to this Site any content deemed offensive or to constitute harassment or bullying. Sweet Readers will ship only to addresses located in the United States, including P.O. Boxes.
Merchandise Returns
All merchandise sales are FINAL. We do not accept returns of merchandise.
